Artist Statement:

My paintings have a colorful and playful appeal on the surface. But on closer inspection, it’'s a thin shell that tries to subdue a turbulent ebb and flow of chaos and tranquility. I'’m drawn to creating monolithic beasts, representing a part of myself, and balancing these beasts with innocent animals and nature, which represent my daughter.

My work has been described as “"a blend of current street culture with the 1960s head-tripping images typically seen in many rock concert posters of the time. He'’s telling a story through images and keeping us guessing about the outcome"- Julian Bermudez, Grunion Gazette January 2009.
